Community Engagement
The purpose of this page is to spotlight some of the institute’s top community projects. Part of the mission & vision for our students is to build leaders that take pride in giving back to the community. Each year our senior class develops service project initiatives that are carried out by the organization as a whole.
Due to the negative impact the global pandemic: COVID-19 had on graduating seniors, the Louisiana Leadership Institute decided to safely celebrate the students with a Yard-Sign Blitz and a Community Graduation.
Yard Sign Blitz:
This event was spear-headed by the high-school seniors at the Institute and served as their senior project. They organized and executed the sign-up and delivery of 1000 yard signs to congratulate seniors of East Baton Rouge Parish and surrounding areas.

Community Graduation:
Due to the cancelation of in-person graduations as a result of COVID-19, The Louisiana Leadership Institute organized and executed a community graduation involving all schools in East Baton Rouge Parish. This event consisted of an outside ceremony on the LLI campus. Two representatives from each school in the parish were invited to participate, in addition to the seniors who were members of the Louisiana Leadership Institute. The event was highlighted by commencement speaker, LSU’s Football Coach, Ed Orgeron and each participant receiving a $1000 technology scholarship.
